Born and raised in the foothills of Western North Carolina, Grayson has always felt most at home outdoors. His craftsmanship is rooted in a childhood spent on a local tree farm and years working alongside his father in construction and masonry. Those early lessons in hard work, precision, and respect for the land became the foundation for his approach to landscaping and outdoor design.

Grayson further developed his knowledge through college coursework in agriculture and horticulture, strengthening his understanding of plant science, soil health, and sustainable design. He blends that education with real-world experience, allowing him to create outdoor spaces that are both beautiful and enduring.

Before becoming the owner of Sanders Design Landscaping, Grayson spent the past five years serving as a project manager, where he oversaw crews, coordinated timelines, managed budgets, and ensured projects were completed with quality and attention to detail. This leadership experience, combined with his hands-on background, prepared him well for stepping into ownership and continuing to grow the business while maintaining the trusted service clients expect.

When Grayson’s not working, you’ll likely find him spending time with his wife Erica and their boys, Blaize (15) and Rhett (6) — usually on a ball field or working in his own yard, enjoying the same outdoor spaces that continue to inspire his craft.
